I am a little bit at a loss here. This blogging business lately has left me despairing. I mean, I don't know what to write about. Should I write something? Should I post pictures? Should I give it up?
Part of the problem is this: when you are writing, it is important to know your audience. Well, I don't really know mine. The people that comment are basically people here in Norman. But when I go to my statcounter (yes, I do track you people as much as I know how to), I've got people reading from all over the place.
Taipei? UK? Sweden? Holland? France? Russia? (oh wait...)
Houston, Colorado, San Francisco, Tulsa, Florida, Edmond, Mustang, New York, DC, Kansas, Massachusetts, Georgia, Seattle....?
Who are you? I have my guesses (for some of you), but it's weird. I write stuff and I don't know who reads it. That sometimes feels distressing.
oh well, I guess, right? I don't know. Maybe you'll comment and tell me.
I'll leave you with a photo - the sun setting over the Carpathian Mountains. Idyllic.

no one admits to being a reader?! ack! I come by sometimes... I might partially count as a "people here in Norman" I don't know...
i'm in your house.
Hello, I'm Todd. I'm currently pursuing a degree in engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. I like gelato, sushi, and walks in the rain on the beach at sunset with a wind at my back and the gulls soaring overhead.
Sally! I read your blog. I like it, it makes it more convenient to stalk you.
I read A Hero For Our Time last year. What do you think of it?
Hi Sally, I read your blog sometimes, so that would probs be the Holland person :)
I know what you mean, I have no idea who reads my blog and it leaves me in the same dilemma.
"oh well" is my answer for now..
I'm the stat coming from Peru. :)
Hola mi amiga.
I come in as a weird location cause I bump my signal so that I cannot be traced.
Hello Sally!
I'm in New York. :-)
I like to read/look at anything you post. :-) I guess that's not much help. Though I'm not one to be giving blogging advice.
How is Norman these days?

Well, I also enjoy reading what you right on any topic, it seems. I like it when people express themselves well; and you do just that.
Although normally showing up from Russia, as you know, we're actually stateside through December, so I might be showing up in strange places on your statcounter as well. :)
